Barely 10 days after the movies release the director Ruggero Deodorato was charged with several counts of murder, forcing him to admit the film was staged and not snuffed. 7. Salò, or the 120 Days of Sodom (1975)

This film consisted scenes of sexual torture, unfathomable cruelty, and sadism manifest in the darkest chapters of human history, with a woman shown eating human feces. The director Pier Paolo Pasolini’s was murdered before its release. This film was twice banned in Australia until 2010 and was never released in theatres.It was also banned in the UK, New Zealand, and several other countries. A shopkeeper was arrested for renting the movie in Ohio.
