Performance: Oneplus 6 is the best here. Snapdragon 845 with Adreno 630 GPU and 8GB or RAM is a potent combination. The phone will easily last over 3 years without getting outdated. Also Oneplus phones are heavily optimized and have less bloatware. I’ll give it a score of 9.5/10.
Display: Unfortunately Oneplus 6 has a notch. I don’t know why Oneplus came up with a notch design when they have a bottom bezel. If you design a bottom bezel, keep a top bezel too. The phone looks like an iPhone clone. Also, it’s a 1080p screen and not a 1440p screen. So VR will take a hit. Overall, it’s a below average display. Score- 7/10.
Audio Quality: Nothing out of the box here. Bottom firing speakers are not always the best. But the best thing is that it has the headphone jack! Score: 8/10
Durability: It’s annoying that Oneplus 6 has gone with the glass back rather than metal. They have told that it’s for the better in hand feel and better cell phone reception. But if they had gone with a metal back, the phone would have been less costly, more durable, less difficult to repair and would be less of a fingerprint magnet. Unfortunately, Oneplus 6 is not as durable as its predecessors. It has Gorilla glass 5 protection and waterproofing though. Score- 6/10
Cameras: Oneplus 6 is known for mediocre camera quality. The recent phones like Oneplus 5 and Oneplus 5T have been better but they are not even close to what Pixel phones or Samsung Galaxy phones can capture. They have dual camera of 16MP and 20MP with one having f/1.7 aperture. They can capture 4K video at 60fps. Nothing special about the camera. Score- 6/10
Battery life: Oneplus 6 has 3300 mAh which will easily last you one day. Add to that the fact that it has dash charging, battery life is the best in Oneplus 6. Unfortunately we don’t have wireless charging. Score: 9/10
Other features: This include Oxygen OS, Alert slider, waterproofing, swipe gestures, Google lens built in, Android P beta early access, etc. Score: 8/10
