The agent, identified only as Surender, then took her to Delhi, where her nightmare started.

The girl who is currently admitted in a Faridabad hospital said she she was continually subjected to sexual assault by Surender. “He thrashed me and raped me the moment we stepped into his house. However, when he wanted to sell me to a couple in Delhi, he did not beat me for some days so I would not appear bruised and battered,” the girl told The Times of India.

While the girl did not face any difficulties when she was working as a maid, the torture and assault resumed after she was hired by another friend of Surender.

According to the girl, the man, Mani Mishra a shop owner in Faridabad took away the Rs 30,000 she had earned at the Delhi house. He then raped her in the kitchen even as his wife and two children stood outside. This became a routine. “Mishra was ten times worse than Surender. He always threatened me with a red kitchen knife, and gagged me if I resisted or tried to scream. He tied my legs and burnt them with cigarettes if I tried to free myself,” she said.

US Woman Visits Goa & Got Sexually Assaulted. Her Facebook Post Helped Cops Arrest The Pervert

Our country is developing but women’s safety is still a major concern in India and gruesome crimes taking place against females on a regular basis prove the statement to be true. Not only women of the nation but foreigners also feel unsafe here and a very unpleasant incident recently happened with a woman from New York.

We are talking about Melody Gambion who lately came to India and had been to Goa for celebrating the Republic day weekend. She came here for good memories but returned with horrible experience of sexual assault. During her stay, she stumbled upon a creep who tried to molest her but she faced the situation with bravery and is completely safe now.

The US national took to Facebook and shared her ordeal along with the photo of the pervert.

Here’s her Facebook post:

“I was in Goa for about 48 hours over the Indian Republic Day weekend and I got sexually assaulted by my bike driver.

I am hoping that if you see this man’s photo – you will never trust your safety with him. He calls himself Ezy M and he is dangerous.

I was at the Arpora night market in Goa and it is here that I hired this man to drive me to Baga where I was having dinner. While on our way, he was friendly and I saw nothing wrong with having a safe, platonic conversation.

Upon arrival, he asked where I was staying and offered a good rate to take me back to the town my hotel is in and waited 2 hours for me. He picked me up post-dinner, and when we were making our way back to my hotel in Morjim that he started misbehaving.

He asked me if I would give him a kiss and obviously, I said no. I tried to keep it light and suggested he ‘keep it professional’.

I noticed that he kept taking turns into lanes that weren’t on our route and he kept saying that they were shortcuts, but it had already been 40 minutes on his bike.

As we drove along, he forced my hands and took them under his shirt and despite constantly telling him to “keep it professional”, he took my hands further down over his pants.

And then he said he needed to pull over. He stopped his bike and before I could realize what was happening, his penis was in my hands.

I got off the bike, threw a 500 rupee note at him and ran down the street. Thankfully, I got to a busy main road and he lost me.

But I’m shaken. If this guy does not get pulled up for what he did, he WILL get bolder and do something even worse the next time.

This is how it begins.

I will go back to Goa again someday and try and not let this incident mar the memory of such a beautiful place. But let’s try and make it safer than it is.

Share this with as many people as you can because he may endanger another woman’s safety if you don’t.”

Teen Ended Her Life After Accidentally Sending Boyfriend A Snapchat Saying She Had Cheated

Relationships in your midteens are a minefield. It’s a time when you are starting to come into your own as an adult and making decisions that will affect the course of your life. With so much change going on at once, many teens are at risk of suffering from mental health problems.

Something which has been epitomized by the untimely death of 17-year-old Charlotte Guy.

Nowadays, teenagers are able to communicate with each other 24/7 in ways that they couldn’t in the past – whether it’s through Facebook, WhatsApp, or Snapchat, and one accidental mistake on the latter was the tipping point which caused Charlotte to end her life.

The teen had planned on confiding in a friend over Snapchat that she had cheated on her on-again-off-again boyfriend, 20-year-old Jack Hurst, but instead of sending the message to her friend, she accidentally sent it to him in September of last year.

Realizing that she had made a terrible mistake, Charlotte immediately messaged Jack again, writing, “Goodbye. Please forgive me.”

This was not, however, the last message that she sent before ending her life.

Now Jack has released a statement about his girlfriend’s death, revealing the sad turn of events which caused the 17-year-old, who had been studying healthcare at college in Wigan, England, to think that she had no option but to commit suicide.

The pair had been dating for two years prior to Charlotte’s death.

Jack revealed that he had recently had a spat over a girl he had been dating before he met Charlotte.

“She told me that she felt like I had lied to her, and I tried to convince her otherwise, but she said she didn’t want to be here anymore.

I was concerned because she had made comments to me before about feeling that the world wasn’t meant for her.

She was always worried about not making new friends, but she started a new course at college and made friends quickly, and she seemed happy.

I went to see her in Wigan on the 21 September. I spoke to her and she said that she wanted to end the relationship…”

“On Sunday 24 , she [texted] me to say she wanted to talk. I said I was busy doing something and I would speak to her later.

After this, she sent me a Snapchat message that was meant for her friend but that she had sent to me instead.

The Snapchat referenced her sleeping with someone on the Saturday night. She told me that it wasn’t for me and apologised and said she was a horrible person.

She said that she wanted to talk and explain, but I said that I didn’t feel like talking and to message me to say what she wanted to say.

At 5.11pm, I got a long text message from her starting with ‘ok I think I get the point’. This message concerned me and I tried to call her, but she didn’t answer. I got another message at 17.13 saying ‘it doesn’t matter. Goodbye. Please forgive me.’”

Worried about Charlotte’s welfare, Jack used her Snapchat account to pinpoint her location and called the police.

Her final message to him read, “I love you – knowing that you hate me is enough.”

At the inquest into her death, it was revealed that the 17-year-old had died with cocaine and alcohol in her system – although there is no evidence to suggest that she was a regular drug user.

The hearing also learned that the night before her death, Charlotte had been out drinking alcohol with her friends, Stephanie Bradshaw and Kieran Ashcroft, but there was absolutely no indication then that she was contemplating ending her life.

“She told me that she had been seeing someone called Jack Hurst for about two years but they had since split up,” Stephanie said.

“She didn’t seem upset about it and seemed really happy the entire night. The next day I dropped her off home at around 6 am and she sent me a message later on.”

“Charlotte told me that she had been having a good night, and seemed happy when I dropped her off the next morning.”

At the hearing, Charlotte’s parents revealed that she had previously self-harmed and that she had been referred for treatment because of this behavior.

“I accept at the time she may have been under the influence of cocaine and some of the effects of that may have changed her behavior and may have changed her state of mind,” the coroner said.

“I believed she was a troubled young lady. The effect it will have on her family and friends is beyond imagination.”

Charlotte’s death, however, is not the first seen suicide to have been linked to social media:

We wish Charolette’s family and friends our sincere condolences during this very difficult time.

Hundreds Of Women Are Posting Naked Photos To Protest A Horrific Murder

Hundreds of women in Russia are joining a viral campaign in protest against the murder of a 19-year-old woman – and the wave of comments by people suggesting that she had provoked her killer.

Tatiana Strakhova was raped and murdered by her ex-boyfriend Artyom Iskhakov, 19, who then had sex with her corpse afterwards before hanging himself. Iskhakov also openly spoke about what had happened in a chilling running online commentary.

He had been driven by unbearable jealousy over his ex-girlfriend’s new relationship with another man, explaining that when she came home, he was sat there.

“I punched her in the face, she fell on the floor. I punched her a few more times, blood started coming from her mouth, and she asked me to leave,” he said.

He also wrote a message to Tatiana’s girlfriend, explaining that he was ‘ashamed’.

He said: “Forgive me for taking your only child from you. I loved her very much. You know, at this very moment I’ve realised what the fuck I did. I feel cold and my hands have started shaking even more.”

Iskhakov then admitted that he was disgusted at himself for having sex with her corpse, adding: “Now I can do nothing except kill myself. I’ve ruined the happiness of several people, and for what? In the end there is only one emptiness that will swallow me up.”

After leaning about what had happened to Tatiana, some people on Russian social media suggested she she had provoked her ex-boyfriend – who was also her flatmate – by posting revealing pictures.

But the controversial comments completely divided people, with a wave of other people instead coming together in an online flashmob protest.

The campaign involved women posting ‘revealing’ pictures of themselves, showing that by doing so they did not deserve to get raped or murdered – or criticised.

One woman, Julia, posted an image showing her topless with a message reading: “This is the first and probably the last time I take part in a flashmob. I have never taken a news story so much to my heart…

“Many must have heard how a male student – who brutally killed and raped a young girl – described his actions in detail and hanged himself.

“I opened the account of this dead girl and what did I see? Lots of posts offering sympathies? No, I saw a gigantic flow of shit – ‘she is guilty here’, ‘she provoked him’, ‘a hooker with tattoos and pink hair’, ‘she deserved it, she ought to have had sex with him’.

Credit: East2West News

“I felt sick. I am sickened because, in 2018, for the majority of people tattoos and pink hair is a sign of someone’s immorality, and a murder can be approved because somebody had nude pictures in her Instagram.

“I am scared to find so many barbarian and cruel people.”

Another woman, Liza, posted her picture with the caption: “This is my body. The fact that you see it does not mean that I can be killed and raped. Nothing justifies this violence.”

Polina wrote: “Girls, imagine your rape can be justified by the fact that you posted an erotic photo to Instagram. Fathers, imagine your daughter will be killed and this will be justified by the pink colour of her hair.”

Reliance Jio plans its own cryptocurrency JioCoin, Mukesh Ambani’s son leading project

After disrupting the telecom sector with its free offers and hyper-competitive tariffs, Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd plans to create its own cyptocurrency, JioCoin.

With Mukesh Ambani’s elder son Akash Ambani leading the JioCoin project, Reliance Jio plans to build a 50-member team of young professionals to work on blockchain technology, which can also be used to develop applications such as smart contracts and supply chain management logistics.

“The company plans to hire 50 young professionals with average age of 25 years for Akash Ambani to lead. There are multiple applications of blockchain (for the company). The team would work on various blockchain products,” a person familiar with the development said on condition of anonymity.

Blockchain is a digital ledger for storing data including, but not limited to, financial transactions. In simple terms, blockchain decentralizes information without it being copied. The information is held on blockchain through a shared database which can be accessed on a real-time basis. This database is not stored on physical servers but on the cloud, which makes it easy to store unlimited data.

The most popular application of the technology has undoubtedly been cryptocurrency, and Reliance Jio also plans to create its own version called JioCoin.

“One (application) is cryptocurrency. We can deploy smart contracts. It can be used in supply chain management logistics. Loyalty points could altogether be based on JioCoin,” the person cited above said, adding that all of this was “in proposal stage”.

An email sent to Reliance Jio seeking a response remained unanswered till press time.

“Reliance Jio also aspires to get into Internet of Things (IoT). Blockchain technology would come in handy there,” the person said.

IoT is a network of devices such as smartphones, wearable devices, home appliances and vehicles, connected to the internet, which enables these objects to connect and exchange data. Experts have also pointed out that blockchain could potentially address security risks to IoT as it provides a shield against data tampering by labelling each block of data.

Significantly, the Indian government has cautioned against cryptocurrencies, stating that virtual currencies were not backed by assets and posed risks such as money laundering. On 2 January, finance minister Arun Jaitley told the Rajya Sabha that the government was still studying the issue.

“A committee under the chairmanship of secretary, department of economic affairs, is deliberating over all issues related to cryptocurrencies to propose specific actions to be taken,” Jaitley said, adding that the government does not consider cryptocurrencies to be legal tender.

Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies have come under the scanner of governments across the world as their soaring prices attracted speculators and unsophisticated retail investors in droves. On Thursday, Bitcoin dropped as much as 12% to $12,801, its lowest since Christmas day, as South Korea’s justice minister reiterated his proposal to ban local cryptocurrency exchanges, Bloomberg reported.

Indian Girl Develops Rape Proof Underwear With Lock, Camera, And GPS Because Men Won’t Stop Raping

Rape is the fastest growing crime in India, but still remains under-reported. Of all the major crimes, the incidences of rape have witnessed the highest growth in the country in the last few decades.

The current situation demands women to take a stand for themselves if they want to feel safe in this society. Seenu Kumari is one of those women who has taken the matter into her own hand. Putting a strong foot forward, Seenu has developed a ‘Rape Proof Underwear’ that is capable of saving a woman from getting raped.

Seenu’s rape proof underwear comes with a video camera, GPS, and a lock that opens with a password. As reported by Daily Mail, Seenu Kumari, a resident of Uttar Pradesh has developed the prototype and claims that the underwear is knife and bulletproof. She also says that it has emergency call feature as well as a combination lock.

There is no doubt saying that Uttar Pradesh is of the states in India where rape toll is really high and a girl coming from the same state with a measure to prevent rape is a huge achievement. Seena hopes that her invention will be in the wider market one day.

The GPS in the underwear will inform the family as well as the police of the possible attack. Also, the video camera will help to track the attacker later on.

Here’s the video in which Seenu has explained the working of the ‘rape proof underwear’.

Seenu’s rape proof underwear has been sent to the National Innovation Foundation in Allahabad for patent approval.

She hopes that it will help women and protect them from getting raped. It is one of the biggest inventions by an Indian woman but at the same time, it is disappointing as women themselves have to take steps to protect themselves because men will not stop raping!

UIDAI introduces 2-tier security to shield Aadhaar data

UIDAI also introduces ‘limited KYC’, under which it will only provide need-based or limited details of a user to an authorized agency that is providing a particular service..

In the wake of reports of an alleged breach of the Aadhaar database published in a newspaper last week, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has rolled out a new two-tier security process that will come into effect from June 1.

Aimed at eliminating the need to share and store Aadhaar numbers, the UIDAI has introduced the concept of a virtual ID which an Aadhaar holder can use in lieu of his/her Aadhaar number at the time of authentication, besides sharing of ‘limited KYC’ with certain agencies.

“While it is important to ensure that Aadhaar number holders can use their identity information to avail many products and services, the collection and storage of Aadhaar numbers by various agencies has heightened privacy concerns,” a Ministry of Electronics and IT circular said.

The move follows a report in The Tribune newspaper that allegedly exposed a data breach in Aadhaar records.

A Virtual ID (VID) will be a temporary 16-digit random number mapped with the Aadhaar number. There can only be one active and valid VID for an Aadhaar number at any given time and it will not be possible to derive the Aadhaar number from VID, the circular said.

The VID authentication will be similar to using Aadhaar numbers. However, since a VID is temporary, agencies will not be able to use it for de-duplication.

Only the Aadhaar holder will be able to generate a VID and no other entity, including authentication user agencies (AUAs), can do it on their behalf. “While VID allows Aadhaar number holders to avoid sharing Aadhaar number, storage of Aadhaar number within various databases also needs to be further regulated,” the circular said.

To address the issue, the UIDAI has brought in the concept of limited KYC. It has categorised its AUAs into Global AUAs and Local AUAs wherein the latter will get access to only need based or limited KYC details. AUAs, which by law are required to use Aadhaar number in their KYCs, will be categorised as Global AUAs and have access to Full e-KYC and the ability to store Aadhaar numbers within their system.

“Once storage of Aadhaar number is restricted and since VID is temporary, agencies need a mechanism to uniquely identify their customers within their system,” the circular said. For this, a 72 character alphanumeric ‘UID Token’ will be generated for “system use”.

“UID token allows an agency to ensure uniqueness of its beneficiaries, customers etc. without having to store Aadhaar number in their databases,” the notification stated.

In India, rape has been normalized to such an extent that disturbing incidents keep happening under our nose, get splashed across newspapers and we tend to move on.

Another disturbing incident happened in Uttar Pradesh where a woman was allegedly raped by three armed men after her husband and brother-in-law were taking hostage.

The incident took place when the family was crossing a river on Banda-Chitrakoot border.

The alleged victim happens to be a resident of Chitrakoot district had visited Gaurikhanpur village to meet her relatives with her husband and brother-in-law, as per the police’s report.

Additional Superintendent of Police, Lal Bharat Kumar Pal informed that the trio was returning from their visit and that’s when the incident occurred. They were stopped by three armed men and the woman was dragged to a nearby hut in a jungle where she was raped.

An FIR was lodged against the three accused men and the police have initiated a manhunt to nab the accused.

The woman, meanwhile, has been sent to a hospital for medical examination.

Another day. Another rape story.

Nirbhaya’s rape incident had drawn attention to the serious issue and with that, came various Indians’ gamut of emotions: for once, most of them were united to wade off the problem through protests and the politicians made promises to keep the country safe for women.

But has something really changed?
